September At Limberlost Woodturning

September has arrived and the days since the studio tour have been slow and sunny. We are starting to see some red leaves and the days are shorter. After welcoming over 700 people to the Artists of the Limberlost Studio Tour we have some wonderful memories of our 18 years since it began.
We enjoyed spending time with our guest artists and friends, painter Carol-Ann Michaelson, fibre artist Pam Carnochan and musician, Don Ablett. On the Friday night we hosted a gathering of all 21 Artists of the Limberlost and their helpers. It was fun to share stories of our first day of the tour and memories of previous shows.
Today Karen and I put away the burl bowls, platters and tables so they are protected as I get back to work at the lathe.
