Painter Jamie McGill, 2018 Artists of the Limberlost Guest Artist

I am pleased to have painter Jamie McGill return as one of my guest artists for the Artists of the Limberlost Studio Tour on August 18 & 19.

Jamie McGill is primarily a landscape painter, working both in watercolour and oils. The majority of Jamie’s paintings begin as plein air sketches which provide the basis for larger works completed in his West Toronto studio.

Jamie says, “It was my love of nature that first drew me to landscape painting. I have lived some of life’s most perfect moments on the water in the near North. The hope to share these feelings with others – to have others see as I have seen – is in large measure why I picked up the brush.”

Enjoy the drive along Limberlost Road to my Rebecca Lake workshop. The rugged northern landscapes are inspiration for the Artists of the Limberlost and our guests. Hope to see you in August.
