The Artists of the Limberlost Open Studio Tour is a month away and I look forward to showing you my newest work as you visit my studio. You are welcome to enjoy our gardens, explore my workshop and ask questions as I demonstrate woodturning on my lathe.
Carol-Ann Michaelson is returning this year with her precious metal clay jewellery. Many of you remember Carol-Ann’s pottery and enjoyed seeing her enthusiasm last year as she displayed her new art medium. Still working with clay and firing it in a kiln, she has learned new techniques and skills to share with her clients. We are fortunate that Carol-Ann’s husband, Don Ablett, will be playing his guitar and singing in the workshop again this year.
Our new artist, Don Spring, is an accomplished photographer who prints photographs of Limberlost and Algonquin Park on a variety of unconventional surfaces including wood and metal.
In a compact and scenic 20 km route you can visit the 8 studios, meet our 21 artists and purchase a piece of local art. For a detailed map of the studios in the area of scenic Limberlost Road, go to www.artistsofthelimberlost.ca
